Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives open lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 ― Gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on mild demand for the precious metal.

At 9.15am, only one contract month was traded.

October 2014 was six ticks lower at RM128.55 a gramme while September 2014, November 2014 and December 2014 stayed unchanged at RM128.50 and RM129.0 and RM129.20 a gramme, respectively.

Turnover stood at six lots while open interest totalled 3,634 contracts.

At 9.30am, physical gold was 47 sen lower at RM124.02 a gramme. ― Bernama
