KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 ― Share prices on Bursa Malaysia were lower at mid-afternoon today on lack of buying momentum.
At 3.02 pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 0.28 point higher at 1,866.39.
Losers outpaced gainers by 479 to 304 while 289 counters were unchanged, 550 untraded and 14 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 1.82 billion shares worth RM1.15 billion.
On the scoreboard, the Finance Index increased 4.28 points to 17,470.61, the Industrial Index weakened 2.17 points to 3,240.81 and the Plantation Index contracted 25.8 points to 8,501.77.
The FBM Emas Index added 6.46 points to 13,001.57, the FBMT100 Index declined 9.14 points to 12,592.09, FBM 70 rose 38.16 points to 14,211.62 but FBM Ace fell 15.39 points to 6,888.31.
Among heavyweights, Maybank was four sen higher at RM10.14, TNB jumped six sen to RM12.44, Axiata added one sen to RM6.94 while Public Bank lost 10 sen to RM19.18.
Of the actives, Sumatec edged up half-a-sen to 47 sen, Efficient E-Solutions went up three sen to 28 sen, Pesona Metro soared 10.5 sen to RM91 sen, and Sanichi Technology declined 2.5 sen to three sen. ― Bernama
