KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 — Teradata Corporation is pushing for forward-thinking organisations in Malaysia to build a data-driven economy by leveraging big data analytics to improve business decisions, grow profits and gain competitive advantage.
Teradata is an analytic data platforms, marketing applications, and consulting services company that helps organisations become more competitive by increasing the value of their data and customer relationships.
Chief Analytics Officer Bill Franks said that big data analytics is not just about managing more or diverse data, it is about evolving a company into a data-driven enterprise that is truly structured to succeed.
“When data is central to strategy, operations and culture, then people feel empowered to ask new questions, formulate new hypotheses and make better data-driven decisions that will benefit their business over the long term,” he said in a statement here today.
Based on a recent study commissioned by Capgemini, Franks said that data-driven enterprises outperformed their industry peers by up to six per cent and were up to 26 per cent more profitable.
“Those firms that manage their data most efficiently and apply the valuable insights it contains, will be the leaders in the new data-driven economy,” said Franks. — Bernama
