KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 ― SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd emerged among the most active counter mid-morning on Bursa Malaysia after its units secured two contracts worth RM1.3 billion yesterday.
As at 11.30, the counter saw 1.44 million shares changing hands, rising nine sen or 2.08 per cent to RM4.42, after opening two sen better at RM4.35.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the group said the first contract was for three remote wellhead platforms in the North Malay Basin, off Peninsular Malaysia, from Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia BV, with a period of about 25 months, which was expected to commence this quarter.
The second was for four wellhead platforms and associated subsea pipelines for JDA Block B-17 and B17-01 Field Phase 3 Development Project, offshore Malaysia-Thailand border, by Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn Bhd, for a period of about 39 months, commencing June. ― Bernama
