7-Eleven most active stock, soars 10.14pc

KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 — Main Market debutant 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd surged 10.14 per cent or 14 sen at mid-afternoon.

As at 3.35pm, the stock, the most actively traded so far, stood at RM1.52 with 179.58 million shares transacted.

The convenience store operator, which was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia today, raised RM731.8 million through the initial public offering (IPO) exercise, making it the largest IPO so far in Malaysia this year.

At a press conference after the listing ceremony today, Independent Non-Executive Chairman Shalet Marian said the company aims to pay between 30 per cent and 50 per cent of its profit as dividends to shareholders. — Bernama
