KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 ― The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) on Bursa Malaysia remained in the red mid-afternoon, weighed by losses across the board.
At 3.01pm, the key index stood at 1,863.44, down 5.78 points.
Among heavyweights, Maybank lost four sen to RM9.86, Public Bank eased two sen to RM19.88, CIMB shed one sen to RM7.30 while TNB was flat at RM12.18.
Among actives, MAS edged up half-a-sen to 17.5 sen, Advance Synergy increased three sen to 22 sen, SKP Resources added 1.5 sen to 41 sen and Bio
Osmo and Hiap Huat Holdings were both flat at 15 sen and 18 sen, respectively.
Losers led gainers 430 to 236 while 318 counters were unchanged, 636 untraded and 19 others were suspended.
Turnover stood at 797.67 million shares worth RM834.81 million.
The Finance Index depreciated 33.1 points to 17,045.09, the Industrial Index fell 2.37 points to 3,194.62 and the Plantation Index shed 56.19 points to 9,156.08.
The FBM Emas Index slipped 40.34 points to 12,883.61, the FBMT100 Index declined 39.39 points to 12,534.86, the FBM Ace slid 40.94 points to 6,557.73 and the FBM 70 shed 45.86 points to 14,003.18. ― Bernama
