Boustead RM220m defence deal may spur investor interest

KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 ― There could be added interest in Boustead Heavy Industries Corp’s (BHIC) shares today after it secured a RM220million contract from the Defence Ministry, said HwangDBS Vickers Research.

In a note today, the research firm said the contract is for the maintenance and supply of spare parts for the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s EC725 helicopters.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Friday, BHIC said its subsidiary, BHIC AeroServices Sdn Bhd, had been awarded the in-service support contract, which is for a period of three years.

As at 10.29 am, BHIC's share price was flat at RM2.51. ― Bernama
