KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 — Gamuda Bhd posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM191.5 million for the first quarter ended October 31, 2013, from RM173.2 million a year ago.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the group attributed the increase in pre-tax profit to higher contributions from all divisions including construction, property, and water and expressway concessions.
Revenue gained to RM486.1 million from RM453.3 million previously.
Going forward, it anticipates an improved performance this year from on-going construction projects, substantial unbilled sales from the property division and steady earnings from the water and expressway concessions division. — Bernama
