KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 29 — Shares on Bursa Malaysia continued their uptrend at mid-afternoon today, led by gains in Petronas-related stocks.
At 3.09pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 0.95 of a point better at 1,808.55.
However, losers edged gainers by 377 to 259, with 332 counters unchanged, 620 untraded and 44 others suspended.
Trading amounted to 682.49 million shares worth RM686.67 million.
Petronas Gas surged 38 sen to RM23.98, while Petronas Dagangan jumped 14 sen to RM30.58.
On the scoreboard, the Finance Index fell 5.77 points to 16,639.48, while the Plantation Index rose 12.02 points to 8,861.68, and the Industrial Index was 15.17 points better at 3,155.14.
The FBM Emas Index was up 0.52 of a point to 12,551.45, the FBMT100 Index improved 2.67 points to 12,281.45, while the FBM Ace shed 20.89 points to 5,609.95 and the FBM 70 eased 12.48 points to 14,187.78.
Among actives, XOX rose half sen to 16.5 sen and Bio Osmo added one sen to 17.5 sen, while Sumatec remained unchanged at 30.5 sen.
For the heavyweights, Maybank added five sen to RM9.73, Sime Darby gained one sen to RM9.64, while CIMB shed six sen to RM7.53. — Bernama
