KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 — The ringgit was traded higher against the US dollar this morning on the back of a stable external backdrop, dealers said.
At 9am, the ringgit was quoted at 3.2120/2150 against the greenback from Friday’s close of 3.2140/2170.
A dealer said ringgit trading was expected to be confined within 3.2000 and 3.2200 throughout the day.
Meanwhile, the local unit was traded mostly lower against other major currencies.
It depreciated against the Singapore dollar to 2.5694/5728 from 2.5691/5734 on Friday but appreciated against the Japanese yen to 3.1658/1700 from 3.1815/1848 previously.
The currency weakened against the British pound to 5.2131/2192 from Friday’s 5.2076/2138 and eased against the euro to 4.3513/3557 from Friday’s 4.3367/3420. — Bernama
