KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session on a mixed note today, led by losses in finance counters, dealers said.
At lunch break, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 1.52 points to 1,816.87, after fluctuating between 1,815.72 and 1,821.79 in the session.
Gainers thumped losers 345 to 341, with 282 counters unchanged, 660 untraded and 59 others suspended.
Volume stood at 1.07 billion shares worth RM825.44 million.
Maybank lost six sen to RM9.90, while CIMB and AMMB Holdings fell four sen each to RM7.60 and RM7.45 respectively.
On the scoreboard, the Finance Index slipped 61.34 points to 16,781.78, and the Industrial Index lost 0.05 of a point to 3,142.02. The Plantation Index gained 19.33 points to 8,520.44.
The FBM Emas Index slipped 10.33 points to 12,620.21, the FBMT100 Index declined 11.48 points to 12,347.59, and the FBM 70 was 18.09 points easier at 14,303.46.
The FBM Ace Index rose 52.94 points to 5,673.49.
Among actives, Hubline and Talam Transform were each flat at 6.5 sen and 7.5 sen, respectively.
Instacom-WB added half sen to 15.5 sen.
Of the heavyweights, Axiata fell one sen to RM6.90, Sime Darby added one sen to RM9.56 and Petronas Chemicals was unchanged at RM7.15. — Bernama
