BNM’s international reserves stands at RM444.6b as at Sept 30

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — Bank Negara Malaysia today announced that its international reserves amounted to RM444.6 billion, as at Sept 30, 2013, which is equivalent to US$136.5 billion.

In a statement today, the central bank said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 9.7 months of retained imports and was 3.9 times the short-term external debt. – Bernama
