KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives were higher in early trading this morning tracking the firmer cash market performance.

Spot month August 2013 added 8.50 points to 1692.5 after 60 minutes of trading, followed by September 2013 which rose 7.0 points to 1,681 and December 2013 which decreased 4.5 points to 1,669, while distant month March 2014 was 2.0 points higher at 1,663.

Turnover stood at 6,299 lots while open interest amounted to 50,773 contracts.

At 10.05 am, the underlying FBM KLCI stood at 1,696.02, up 9.85 points. – Bernama
