KLCI futures contract opens lower following easier cash market

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower in line with the easier underlying cash market, dealers said.
At 9.32am, spot month August 2013 eased 16 points to 1,758, September 2013 reduced 15 points to 1,755, December 2013 fell 14 points to 1,760 and March 2014 declined 5.5 points to 1,770.
Turnover stood at 3,765 lots while open interest totalled 36,854 contracts.
The underlying FBM KLCI was 17.6 points lower at 1,760.76 after 32 minutes of trading. – Bernama
