KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 — Bursa Malaysia remained lower at mid-morning on lack of buying interest amid weaker sentiment, dealers said.
At 11.01am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 1.78 points easier at 1,736.41.
A total of 502.09 million shares worth RM724.34 million were transacted.
On the scoreboard, the Finance Index fell 93.1 points to 16,411.82 but the Industrial Index gained 6.89 points to 2,921.27, and the Plantation Index rose 88.11 points to 8,248.5.
The FBM Emas Index declined 19.87 points to 12,012.37, the FBMT100 Index lost 20.61 points to 11,795.04, and the FBM Mid 70 Index erased 58.99 points to 13,639.91.
However, the FBM Ace Index improved 24.15 points to 4,673.59.
Losers beat gainers 316 to 239, with 249 counters unchanged, 788 untraded and 22 others suspended.
Among actives, Flonic Hi-Tech inched up half-a-sen to 8.5 sen, TDM added 5.5 sen to 81 sen but iDimension Consolidated shed one sen to 14.5 sen.
For the heavyweights, Sime Darby advanced eight sen to RM9.48, Axiata Group added one sen to RM6.61 and Petronas Chemicals gained two sen to RM6.60.
Meanwhile, Maybank lost 12 sen to RM10.02 and CIMB slipped one sen to RM8.12. – Bernama
