European stocks extend recovery at open

LONDRES (UK), May 11 — European stock markets rose at the open today, extending a recovery following sharp losses at the beginning of the week.

London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index grew 0.6 per cent to 7,283.74 points, building on Tuesday’s rebound.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index climbed 0.3 per cent to 13,578.47 points and the Paris CAC 40 jumped 1.2 per cent to 6,190.03. — AFP
