Mexican president floats ‘Marshall Plan’ to help emerging markets

MEXICO CITY, April 6 — Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said today he would like to see some sort of "Marshall Plan” adopted to help emerging markets cope with the economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking at a regular government news conference, Lopez Obrador said he had put forward the idea during a video call with BlackRock Chief Executive Larry Fink on Saturday.
