European stock markets slide at open

LONDON, Feb 6 — European stock markets fell at the start of trading today, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.3 per cent at 7,157.50 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index slipped 0.3 per cent to 11,178.75 points and the Paris CAC 40 index shed 0.4 per cent to 5,060.65 compared with yesterday's close. — AFP
