KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 — Police have arrested three more men in Kuala Lumpur over a brazen illegal street race that brought traffic to a halt along the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link.

Kulai police chief Tan Seng Lee said the latest arrests bring the total number of individuals detained in connection with the incident to 11, Kosmo reported.

The three suspects will be produced in court for a remand application.

“Further investigation into this case is ongoing under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,” he said.

Police had earlier rounded up eight men on Sunday, including a motorsport influencer, obtaining a four-day remand order to facilitate investigations.

The incident unfolded at around 7am on Sunday along the stretch from KM33 (Senai Toll Exit) to KM31 (Johor Premium Outlets Exit).

A 30-second viral video sparked widespread public outrage after showing the group blocking morning motorists across the expressway to clear the route for the race.
