National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the well-being that the country aspires to enjoy could not be achieved without strong unity.

“Let us continue to foster the spirit of mutual understanding, respect and acceptance of diversity, because it is through togetherness that Malaysia draws its strength to continue progressing in harmony and prosperity,” he said in a statement today.

The National Unity Ministry, as the secretariat of the event, has also invited the public to attend the event at Dataran Merdeka to listen to Anwar’s address, which will also be broadcast live on TV1 and the RTMKlik application from 9.30pm.

Themed ‘Malaysia Madani: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati’, the 69th National Day celebration will be held at Dataran Putrajaya, with more than 80,000 visitors expected to attend. — Bernama
