KUCHING, Aug 15 — A woman was rescued by members of the public after falling from the Darul Hana Bridge at Kuching Waterfront here yesterday evening.
Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the incident, saying the woman had been admitted to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment at the Yellow Zone of the Emergency and Trauma Unit.
“Initial investigations found that the incident was related to a personal issue — however, investigations are ongoing to determine the root cause of the incident.
“As such, the public is urged to refrain from speculating or spreading unverified information regarding the incident,” he said in a statement today.

Videos of the incident were circulated on various Facebook pages yesterday evening, showing the woman being rescued by members of the public.
