KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 — Malaysians holding MyKad will be able to attend all three days of Formula 1’s return to Sepang through special Tiket Madani priced from RM200, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced today.

He said the initiative would give more Malaysians the opportunity to experience Formula 1 in person when the race returns to Sepang in October.

“Alhamdulillah, following discussions and agreement with Bahrain, the government is pleased to announce special Madani Tickets for MyKad holders priced from as little as RM200 for access throughout the three-day event,” he said in a Facebook post today.

The Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit is scheduled for October 2 to 4, marking the sport’s return to Malaysia for the first time since 2017.

Tickets announced earlier this week included three-day passes for Malaysian citizens ranging from RM200 for the G Hillstand to RM2,083.40 for the Main Grandstand.

Anwar said the initiative was aimed at giving more Malaysians the chance to experience Formula 1 directly at Sepang.

“Hopefully, this initiative will give more Malaysians the opportunity to experience Formula 1 in person at Sepang,” he said.

Further details on the Madani Tickets will be announced by SIC soon, he added.
