IPOH, Aug 14 — Bagan Datuk has the potential to be developed as a livable, competitive and distinctive administrative town in a park, with good facilities and infrastructure, broader economic opportunities and a comfortable environment for the people.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the Bagan Datuk Member of Parliament, said the parliamentary constituency had tremendous potential, and it was the responsibility of relevant stakeholders to ensure that every potential was translated into development that benefits the people.

“I started the day in Bagan Datuk by listening to a presentation on the study report for the Bagan Datuk special area plan (RKK) with the Teluk Intan Municipal Council, Bagan Datuk District and Land Office and the consultants.

“As a native of Bagan Datuk, I certainly want to see this district that we love continue to develop through well-planned development that takes into account the needs of the local community,” he said in a Facebook post.

“I have always believed that our Bagan Datuk has tremendous potential, and our task is to ensure that every potential is translated into development that ultimately benefits the people.

“Insya-Allah, we will continue to strive for the best for Bagan Datuk,” he said. — Bernama
