SHAH ALAM, Aug 14 — After six weeks of enjoying free fares, passengers on the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) Shah Alam Line will start to pay for their rides starting tomorrow (August 15).
Rapid KL in a statement announced that this includes the shuttle bus service as well as the Park N’ Ride facility.
“The implementation of this paid service marks another important phase in the operation of the Shah Alam Line after the six-week free travel period which was well received by the public.
“Rapid KL would like to express its gratitude to all users for their support, trust and willingness to choose public transport during the period,” the statement said.
Rapid KL also advised passengers to always prepare before starting their journey by ensuring their fare cards have at least RM5.
The public transport operator also informed that passengers can check the fare rates for the Shah Alam Line via the official MyRapid website.
“At the same time, concessionary fares via the MyRapid Concession Card are also available for eligible categories, including students, senior citizens and the disabled. Eligible passengers can use their respective concession cards to enjoy the set fare rates.
“Rapid KL welcomes the public to continue travelling with the Shah Alam Line and make public transport an option for easier, safer and smoother daily travel,” the statement said. — Bernama
