KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim returned home yesterday after being discharged from hospital.

In a Facebook post, Anwar uploaded a photo of himself reading a book with the caption “Alhamdulillah, back home”.

Earlier, the Prime Minister’s wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, was reported to have said that Anwar was expected to be discharged from hospital yesterday after receiving treatment.

On Monday, Anwar was reported to have successfully undergone an elective laparoscopic surgical procedure to treat a para-umbilical hernia and was under close monitoring by a team of medical specialists. — Bernama
