KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a phone call from Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, who enquired about his health and prayed for his well-being.

In a Facebook post, Anwar expressed his appreciation for the Sultan’s prayers and concern.

“I also pray that His Majesty will always be blessed with good health and remain under the protection and mercy of Allah SWT,” he said.

Anwar also said he would have an audience with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in Bandar Seri Begawan next week in conjunction with the 27th Annual Leaders’ Consultation (ALC) between Malaysia and Brunei.

Last Monday, Anwar underwent an elective laparoscopic procedure to treat a para-umbilical hernia and remains under close monitoring by a team of medical specialists. — Bernama
