Man found dead in Gua Musang cave

GUA MUSANG, Aug 7 — An elderly man was found dead in a cave near a resort in Kampung Pulai, here, last night.

Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Operations commander Che Razak Harun said his department received a call at 9.41pm before 13 members with two engines and two four-wheel drive vehicles were rushed to the location.

He said upon arrival at 9.57pm, firefighters found the victim, estimated to be in his 70s, unconscious in the cave.

“Members used a stretcher and lights to carry the victim out before Health Ministry officials confirmed that the man had died,” he said when contacted today.

He said the victim’s body was then handed over to the police for further action, while the operation was brought under control at 10.10 pm before being completely ended at 10.48 pm. — Bernama
