KOTA KINABALU, June 30 — A 31-year-old massage therapist was charged in the Magistrate’s Court here to molesting a male client during a body massage session.
Ahmad Johan Yong Abdullah pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Dzul Elmy Yunus to using criminal force on a 38-year-old man with intent to outrage his modesty at a massage outlet in Imago Shopping Mall on June 21, at 1.30pm.
The charge under Section 354 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 10 years, or a fine, or whipping, or any two of the punishments, on conviction.
The court fixed Aug 5 for pre-trial case management and released the accused on bail of RM3,000 with two sureties.

The charge under Section 379A of the Penal Code read together with Section 511 of the Penal Code provides for a jail term of not less than one year and not more than seven years, and may also include a fine.
For an attempt, the maximum imprisonment is half the maximum term prescribed for the offence.
The court set Aug 5 for pre-trial case management and released the accused on bail of RM2,500 with two sureties.
