SIMPANG RENGGAM, June 27 — Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi submitted his nomination papers for the Johor state election at 9.10 am at the nomination centre at the Muafakat Hall of the Simpang Renggam District Council.

The incumbent Machap state assemblyman was accompanied by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and former minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

Also present to lend support was former Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad.

A Bernama check at the venue found supporters gathering in the surrounding area, dressed in their respective party colours and carrying banners and flags to show support for the candidates contesting the election.
