KLIA: Runway closed after tyre burst incident reopened, operating as normal

SEPANG, June 14 —  A runway affected by an aircraft’s burst tyre at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) reopened at 7.40 pm yesterday after receiving final safety clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).

KLIA posted on Facebook that flight operations on the runway have resumed and returned to normal.

Earlier, one of its three runways was temporarily closed today after an aircraft tyre burst, and the closure  was initially expected to last until 9 pm as stated in its latest Notice to Airmen (NOTAM). — Bernama
