KUANTAN, May 17 — Government agencies, enforcement bodies, mosques, suraus and community organisations in the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency and Kuantan received donations of sacrificial cattle in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha here yesterday.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi said the contributions were intended to help ensure the smooth implementation of this year’s korban rituals while strengthening ukhuwah, or brotherhood, within the community.

“This annual programme reflects our continued commitment to reinforcing the values of welfare, nurturing the spirit of gotong-royong and reaching out to communities at the grassroots level,” he said in a Facebook post.

The donations were presented at the Sacrificial Cattle Donation Presentation Ceremony for the Indera Mahkota parliamentary constituency and Kuantan at Masjid Tengku Abdullah Al Haj, Chengal Lempong.

Ahmad Farhan also expressed his appreciation to the mosque management, participating agencies, volunteers and donors. — Bernama
