KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 — Susanna Liew, the wife of missing Pastor Raymond Koh, has welcomed the government’s decision to withdraw its appeal and allow her access to the Special Task Force Report (STF Report) on his abduction.

She said the move finally gives her the same treatment as Norhayati Mohd Ariffin, the wife of Amri Che Mat, who had earlier been granted access to the report.

“As a Malaysian citizen, I am entitled to equality before the law and to the equal protection of the law, free from discrimination particularly by the government,” she said.

Liew explained that she had previously asked the Attorney General’s Chambers to reconsider its position but was refused. She now welcomes the latest development, which affirms her right not only to inspect the STF Report but also to make copies of it for use in court.

“The court further affirmed my right not only to inspect the STF Report but to also make copies of it for the purpose of tendering it as evidence in the trial proceedings,” she said.

She described the decision as a significant step forward in the pursuit of truth and accountability.

“We thank the government for treating me and Pastor Raymond Koh equally before the law. We pray and hope that the Madani government would seriously look at the findings and recommendations of both the Suhakam and now the STF Report, and take the appropriate legal action against the people responsible for the abductions of both Amri Che Mat and Pastor Raymond Koh,” she said.

Liew added that the evidence presented so far, both documentary and oral, culminating in the High Court judgment, “speaks for itself”.
