KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 — Foreign Minister Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan will hold a bilateral meeting with his visiting Singaporean counterpart Dr Vivian Balakrishnan on Tuesday ahead of the 12th Malaysia-Singapore Annual Leaders’ Retreat.

Both foreign ministers are expected to review the progress of bilateral relations and cooperation, exchange views on issues of mutual interest, and discuss preparations for the retreat scheduled for December, Malaysian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“As close neighbours and key Asean partners, Malaysia and Singapore continue to enjoy strong collaboration across various sectors, as the two countries mark 60 years of diplomatic relations this year,” the ministry said.

Malaysia and Singapore remain each other’s second-largest trading partners, with bilateral trade amounting to US$61.40 billion (RM266.50 billion) from January to August 2025, accounting for 8.5 per cent of Malaysia’s total trade. — Bernama
