KUANTAN, Nov 8 — Heavy rain and strong winds caused several incidents of fallen trees here last night.

Kuantan District Civil Defence Force (APM) officer Major (PA) Zahidi Zainudin said they began receiving incident reports from 7.46pm.

He said the affected areas included Jalan Tanah Putih heading towards Gambang, Taman Cenderawasih and Bukit Setongkol, while there were also reports of a tree falling onto a house roof at Jalan Bukit Bay Route.

“The APM has deployed personnel to the affected locations to conduct monitoring and clearing operations to ensure the routes are safe for use,” he said when contacted by Bernama yesterday.

He added that no injuries or loss of life were reported. — Bernama
