SEPANG, Oct 22 — AirAsia is offering three-day promotional fixed fares for Malaysians in Peninsular Malaysia travelling to Sabah to cast their votes in the upcoming state election on November 29.

The fares apply to flights from major domestic destinations to Sabah between November 26 and 28, covering over 4,300 seats across eight routes and 24 flights, the airline said in a statement today.

The airline said that travellers can fly from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau or Labuan; from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu and Tawau; and from Kota Bharu and Penang to Kota Kinabalu at a fixed all-in one-way fare of RM299.

AirAsia Malaysia chief executive officer Dato’ Captain Fareh Mazputra said the initiative reflects the airline’s commitment to supporting Malaysians during significant national events.

“As the people’s airline, we have always stood alongside the communities we serve. Elections are moments that bring communities together to shape the future and this initiative is our way of making it more affordable for people to return home and take part,” he said.

He added that Sabah remains an important domestic market for AirAsia, noting the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity through programmes such as festival fixed fares and the FLYsiswa initiative.

The promotional fares are available for booking from today until October 26 via airasia.com and the AirAsia MOVE app.
