KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — The Home Ministry (KDN), through its Enforcement and Control Division (PK KDN), has disposed of 4,667 units of sex toys weighing 5.5 tonnes worth about RM146,000 that were seized in Selangor.

The prohibited items were seized during enforcement operations that concluded through court proceedings between July 2023 and June 2024.

KDN said the disposal was carried out after the items were forfeited by court order under Section 19(1) of the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984.

It said the process followed PK KDN’s Disposal Management Guidelines to ensure the items were completely destroyed and rendered unusable.

PK KDN remains committed to strict enforcement against materials and publications deemed harmful to morality, public order and Malaysia’s sociocultural values.

The ministry stressed that such activities are immoral and harmful to societal values and norms.

KDN said it will continue taking firm action against individuals involved in printing, importing, producing, publishing, selling or distributing prohibited publications that threaten morality, national security or public interest.
