Crocodile captured in sea off Teluk Bahang, handed to Perhilitan (VIDEO)

GEORGE TOWN, Sept 23 - A crocodile was spotted on the beach in Teluk Bahang near a hotel at about 4pm today.

The Fire and Rescue Department received reports of crocodile at about 4.38pm today.

The department personnel led by operations commander, Mohd Farid Idris, arrived at the scene at about 4.44pm.

After sizing up the situation, the team of six in full PPE started operations to capture the crocodile using nets with the help of fishermen and local residents.

The crocodile was successfully captured and the operations ended at about 6.59pm.

The crocodile will be handed over to Department of Wildlife and National Parks for further action.
