Man arrested at 1 Utama Shopping Mall, after complaints of him soliciting money

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 — 1 Utama Shopping Mall has confirmed the arrest of a man who had reportedly been approaching shoppers in the mall carpark for money.

In a Facebook post, the mall management confirmed receiving various reports about the man's activities and promptly took action to address the situation.

In response to the reports, the mall increased patrols and implemented additional surveillance measures.

Security personnel were instructed to be on the lookout for the individual.

The man was apprehended on Sunday, September 7 at approximately 7.30pm.

He has since been handed over to the police, along with three other culprits.

The mall management has assured shoppers that their safety and security remain a top priority, and they will continue to take necessary measures to ensure a safe shopping environment.
