CM: One-off air ticket subsidy of RM600 for Sabah students in peninsula, Sarawak, Labuan

KUALA LUMPUR March 25 – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has today announced an RM10 million allocation for flight subsidies for all Sabahan students studying in public or private higher education institutions (IPT) in Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak, and Labuan.

He said the special one-off assistance of RM600 per person for Sabah students is from his office's special allocation.

"The special one-off flight ticket assistance will be given directly to the students concerned. However, detailed information and payment mechanisms will be further discussed by the relevant parties.

"This special assistance can be used at any time to return to Sabah," he said.

He announced the assistance during his visit to Penang at a breakfast fast event with students studying in West Malaysia.
