City Hall unit: Several KL spots hit by flash floods

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — Parts of the city experienced flash floods after heavy rain this evening, said the City Hall unit in charge of monitoring traffic flow in the capital.

According to the Kuala Lumpur Command & Control Centre (KLCCC), areas affected include Jalan Parlimen, Jalan Pudu, Jalan Maarof, Jalan Bangsar, and Jalan Damansara.

Images the KLCCC posted online showed the flooding to be especially severe along Jalan Parlimen and Jalan Bangsar.

It also showed the interchange outside Menara DBKL to be flooded, with Jalan Raja Chulan, and Jalan Maharajalela also affected.

The KLCCC also advised motorists to be cautious of the wet and slippery roads.
