SHAH ALAM, Nov 30 — Sg Burong assemblyman Datuk Mohd Shamsudin Lias urged the Pakatan Harapan state government today to treat Barisan Nasional representatives as allies, citing the two coalition’s partnership in the federal government.

He said the alliance meant the Selangor government should consider granting BN assemblymen the same funding as PH state lawmakers and include them in the executive council.

"In the coalition government (at the federal level) that we have now, I hope that we the BN reps will be given the same opportunity to work with the state government.

"We ask the mentri besar to grant us the same budget to all state representatives (in Selangor) the same funds allocation to let us help the people out there,” said Shamsudin.

"I hope that the spirit from the federal level will be brought down to the Selangor state level so we as a coalition can bring more development to the society,” he added.

Yesterday, Selangor Speaker Ng Suee Lim told The Star that BN is still the Opposition in Selangor for now despite PH and BN forming a coalition government at the federal level.

Ng added that he will leave Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari to adopt measures that will ensure a stable government at both local and federal levels.
