KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 — Barisan Nasional (BN) treasurer Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has denied being offered any post by Perikatan Nasional (PN).

In a post on his Facebook page, he called for Malay daily Sinar Harian to retract an article, which published the allegation, or face legal action.

"Many have circulated this article. I want to verify that the allegation is not true.

"I am not involved in any negotiations, whether with PN or Pakatan Harapan.

"I have not been offered any posts either. If Sinar Harian doesn’t retract this article immediately, I will take legal action,” he said.

A check by Malay Mail of the Sinar Harian website showed that the article in question is no longer accessible online.

According to Sinar Harian, two blogs had claimed yesterday that Hishammuddin was offered the post of prime minister should BN and PN form a government.

However, the Malay daily also quoted a source as saying the blogs in question had done so as they allegedly had an agenda.

The source added that Hishammuddin’s fight to protect the party’s interests and future is clear and that the blogs’ allegations were not true.
