KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman reportedly said that the party is still undecided on using Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) logo in the upcoming general election (GE15).

Syed Saddiq, who is also the incumbent Muar MP, told Malay daily Utusan Malaysia that this is because the party has not officially joined PH but only agreed to an electoral pact.

"On the issue of banner, we are still discussing what’s best for us. This is because PH said that we only have an understanding or electoral pact, not joining PH coalition.

"Our main focus is to reduce the overlap with our allies to face the common enemy. This is our main focus. We have to unite the Opposition to defeat Barisan Nasional (BN),” he was quoted as saying.

Syed Saddiq also reiterated that since Undi18 has been implemented, political parties must have more representation from youth leaders to stay relevant.

"If not the people will punish us. With Muda’s involvement, there will political developments regardless of how long the party has been established,” he added.

Previously, PH has agreed that Muda and the Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM) will be in an electoral pact going into GE15.

However, it was reported that Muda has yet to enter a discussion with PH on seat allocations, despite the impending nomination day.

The Election Commission has announced that nomination day will be on November 5, early voting on November 15 and election day will be on November 19.
