Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said water supply to the remaining 80 areas was still in the process of being restored.

Consumers who have received water supply are advised to use it sparingly to ensure the process to restore supply to the affected areas can be done smoothly, it said in a statement tonight.

Air Selangor said it would update the recovery status from time to time trough its communication mediums including social media, mobile application and website at www.airselangor.com.

On Tuesday, Air Selangor announced that operations at the Rantau Panjang and SSP 1, 2 and 3 water treatment plants had to be suspended due to pollution of raw water sources.

The shutdown affected 1,139,008 accounts holders in 1,79 areas in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Gombak and Kuala Langat. — Bernama
