Penang’s SK Seri Sentosa ordered to close after pupil tests positive for Covid-19

NIBONG TEBAL, Oct 20 — Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Seri Sentosa at Jalan Victoria here is closed for a week starting today until October 26 after a student there was confirmed positive for Covid-19.

Penang Education director Abdul Rashid Abdul Samad, who confirmed the report, said the school would be cleaned and sanitised during the closure period.

"The school’s management will ensure all teachers teach from home via online throughout the closure,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

On October 1, SK Permatang Janggus was closed for eight days after a female teacher there contracted Covid-19. — Bernama
