KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived at the federal police headquarters here in Bukit Aman to meet with investigators.

However, the Port Dickson MP bypassed media members stationed at the main entrance of the premises here by using an alternative entry.

The former deputy prime minister was summoned by the police to have his statement recorded over a purported list of MPs backing him to be the next prime minister.

Malay Mail understands that Anwar entered Bukit Aman at 2.30pm. The Opposition leader was granted an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the Istana Negara last Tuesday after claiming to have secured the support of over 120 MPs in the Dewan Rakyat that would be sufficient for a change of government.

The authenticity of the list circulating online is suspect after the Comptroller of the Royal Household said Anwar did not provide a list of MPs backing him to Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah during the audience.
