KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 ― Travel permits for those wishing to travel in, out or through designated conditional control movement order (CMCO) areas can now be obtained either at police stations or downloaded from the police’s official Facebook page.

In a press conference today, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob added that once the forms are filled in, one only needs to head to the nearest police station to get the signature of the station chief.

"Forms that have been approved, signed and stamped will allow one to pass through roadblocks that have been set up,” he said.

Ismail also took the time to remind those that have businesses or errands in designated CMCO areas to not to rush to police stations.

"Download the form, fill in the requested information accurately and then you only need to head to the police station for verification purposes only.

"Please also be reminded that applications done for social purposes are not allowed and will be denied,” he said.

On arrests made yesterday, the police arrested 390 individuals for breaking the recovery movement control order (RMCO) regulations.

Ismail said today that of the 390 arrested, 386 were given compounds while four others were remanded to assist further investigations.

"The taskforce will continue to increase its inspections and take action against business premises and individuals who do not comply with standard operating procedures of RMCO,” he said during a press conference today.

Ismail also added that security personnel from Ops Benteng arrested 23 undocumented migrants and three smugglers, as well as five vehicles from roadblocks and five boats.

A total of 282 Ops Benteng roadblocks were held nationwide yesterday.
