KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 — The official website of stock exchange operator Bursa Malaysia Bhd experienced a technical glitch approximately at mid-morning today.

The sudden and temporary malfunction, however, had not affected the trading of stocks.

When contacted, a representative from Bursa’s communications department told Bernama that a team was working to fix the technical glitch.

Later in the afternoon, Bursa issued a statement to say that access to its website, www.bursamalaysia.com has been restored.

"The technical issue was not related to cybersecurity issues. Trading in the securities, derivatives and Islamic markets was not affected and continued to operate normally,” it said.

Previously, on July 16, trading on Bursa was halted at 3.30pm as the regulator encountered a technical issue, and trading only resumed the following day at 9am. — Bernama
