The new community infections were located in Selangor and Pahang, the ministry disclosed on its Facebook page.

No deaths were recorded since yesterday, keeping the death toll at 128.

The positive case in Selangor originated from the MV Glen cluster where a crewmate aboard a ship that berthed at Port Klang tested positive for Covid-19 on August 25 and was subsequently admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

By August 30, eight other individuals had been screened and one more positive case was found, a local man aged 43 who was an agent for the shipping company.

Today, the agent’s wife was found positive for Covid-19.

The case in Pahang was detected after routine workplace screenings.

To date, 9,079 individuals have recovered from the virus, while four cases remain in intensive care, with three of them on ventilators.
