Ismail Sabri: 16 detained for failing to register customers, record body temperatures

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — Police arrested 16 people for failing to observe the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the recovery movement control order (RMCO), Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.

"All of them were found to be conducting activities in violation of SOPs, including failure to register and record the temperatures of customers,” he said.

In his press briefing today, the defence minister said two were remanded while 14 others were issued compounds.

He said 3,479 teams from the Compliance Taskforce made up of 15,330 personnel, had conducted 67,047 checks nationwide, to ensure adherence to rules.

Ismail said that 3,946, supermarkets, 5,655 restaurants, 1,454 hawkers, 1,242 factories and 2,044 night markets and farmers markets were checked.
